Towbar and Malvern!

28th July and the towbar was fitted.  We got Jasmine back and Tim of course, had to try out the bike rack and how our electric bikes fitted on it.  A weather proof cover had been ordered and so we were all set with nowhere to go!  The weather was continuing to be fine so a quick look on the CMC website and we booked a couple of nights at the Malvern campsite.

Off we went the following morning with provisions packed and the bikes safely secured on the back.  By 1pm we were pitched up and ready to go exploring.  The site staff were really helpful in suggesting the best cycling routes into town and off we went.  We found a large camping shop on our way and stopped to explore what was on offer.  We decided to go back and buy a rotary drier when we were in Jasmine.

We cycled all the way into Malvern, stopping for a well-earned ice cream and a visit to Waitrose.  Every time I'm out on my trike I get people stopping me to ask about it.  It's quite gratifying when younger people comment that it's a cool bike.  I don't feel so daft about riding a three wheeler!  We've lost count now of the number of times Tim's demo'd how it folds up!!

The next day we took Jasmine up to a car park at the foot of the Malvern hills with the intention of cycling along some of the cycling routes.  We very quickly discovered that the cycling routes were for mountain bikes, certainly not suitable for my trike.  The bikes were quickly re-loaded on the back of the van and we set off walking the hills.  There were lots of hang gliders floating above our heads and stunning views of the area.  A very enjoyable day.

We went into Upton on Severn the final morning and enjoyed a stroll by the river and a short stop at one of the many cafes before heading home.  I was delighted to accomplish my first long(ish) drive and I'm ready to hit the road again!
